01 Get oriented

Instructions, not another LinkedIn app

The package is a set of Markdown instructions and workflows for compatible assistants, with optional local tools. It can help professionals explain their expertise, job seekers clarify their experience, creators structure ideas and businesses coordinate useful content. It is not a LinkedIn application, a job finder or a promise of sales or viral reach.

Manual first

Open one skill source, paste its instructions and your context into your assistant, then review and copy the result into LinkedIn. Ordinary ChatGPT can be used this way. No integration needed.

Install in a compatible agent

Use the documented installer or plugin route for your own agent. Downloading a repository alone does not activate all skills inside ordinary ChatGPT.

Connect only if you need it

External reading, publishing and images are optional separate setups. Start with pasted data and manual publishing; nothing here connects your accounts.

Manual starter prompt
I want to use the pasted LinkedIn skill instructions below as a manual workflow, not an installed integration. My role: [actual role]. Audience: [audience]. Goal: [goal]. Output language: [English / Arabic]. Instructions: [paste the relevant SKILL.md]. Evidence I can share: [confirmed facts]. Ask for missing context. Do not invent numbers, experience or results. Do not access accounts, send messages or publish. Give me a draft to review and paste manually.

02 Choose your setup

Installation with clear boundaries

These commands are copied from the pinned README. Run them only in the environment named below, after reviewing the repository and prerequisites. No software is installed by this page. Your agent, its access requirements and third-party terms still apply.

Skills CLI in your terminal

Requires Node.js/npm, a terminal and an agent supported by the installer. The README names Claude Code, Codex and Cursor; check your agent's current support. Review third-party code before running it.

Skills CLI in your terminal
npx skills add sergebulaev/linkedin-skills

Inside Claude Code

Run these slash commands in Claude Code, not a regular chat or a shell. You need Claude Code with plugin support and appropriate access.

Inside Claude Code
/plugin marketplace add sergebulaev/linkedin-skills
/plugin install linkedin-skills@linkedin-skills

Codex CLI in your terminal

Requires the Codex CLI with plugin support and its own configured access. These are upstream commands, not an integration installed by this website.

Codex CLI in your terminal
codex plugin marketplace add sergebulaev/linkedin-skills
codex plugin add linkedin-skills@linkedin-skills

Clone for a Claude Code working directory

Requires Git and Claude Code. Open the clone as your working directory; the repository's symlink mirror provides discovery. On Windows, enable Git symlink support through Developer Mode or use the README's directory-junction alternative, otherwise the clone may load no skills. These commands fetch the current repository, while this guide and source ZIP use the pinned snapshot.

Clone for a Claude Code working directory
git clone https://github.com/sergebulaev/linkedin-skills.git
cd linkedin-skills

Claude web and Desktop

The README documents Customize → Plugins → Add marketplace → Add from a repository. Add sergebulaev/linkedin-skills, sync, then install from Discover and confirm it is enabled in Yours. It specifies a paid Claude plan with code execution enabled. Availability and interface labels can change, so check the latest README and your plan. The local Python/environment reading path for Apify does not run in claude.ai web; paste the post or thread instead.

03 The complete toolkit

Twelve skills, three useful jobs

Source note: this guide uses the actual twelve directories at commit bfa41ff5, whose plugin metadata declares version 1.1.19. Source links and the ZIP are pinned to this commit. The README display table is outdated: Post Audit is a Humanizer mode; Engagement Monitor is represented by Thread Monitor and Engager Analytics.

Build the foundation

Your experience, your profile and a realistic plan.

Interviewer

linkedin-interviewer

Start here when you have a career or a business, but little written material to draw from.

What you get: A factual Story Bank, or a focused five-part post spine: Moment, Number, Correction, Opposition and Ask.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: Your actual roles, projects, decisions, lessons and boundaries. Answer one question at a time; mark anything you cannot verify.

Keep in mind: It gathers material, not the final post. Missing facts stay empty. Keep the private Story Bank outside public repositories and exclude confidential client information.

Interviewer prompt
Use linkedin-interviewer --mode bank. My role is [actual role] and my audience is [audience]. Ask one question at a time about real projects and lessons. Ask what may be shared publicly. Do not invent dates, numbers or outcomes. Leave unknown facts empty. Keep the Story Bank private; do not publish or commit it.

Profile Optimizer

linkedin-profile-optimizer

Align your profile with a job search, client enquiries or a clearer professional identity.

What you get: A nine-component profile scorecard, priority fixes and suggested rewrites with before-and-after comparisons.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: Paste your headline, About, Experience and Skills. Add screenshots or descriptions of your photo, banner and Featured section, plus your goal.

Keep in mind: It cannot fetch a profile URL, even with Apify. It can only assess sections you provide. Its recommendations are not verified conversion improvements or hiring predictions.

Profile Optimizer prompt
Use linkedin-profile-optimizer. Goal: [job search / clients / authority]. Audience: [audience]. Here are my pasted profile sections and visual descriptions: [content]. Use only confirmed facts. Do not fetch my profile URL or score unseen sections. Ask for missing evidence before proposing numbers or achievements.

Content Planner

linkedin-content-planner

Turn scattered ideas into a manageable week of useful posts.

What you get: A seven-day calendar with topics, formats, hooks, calls to action, proposed times, comment targets and a readiness checklist.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: Your audience, goal, themes, real Story Bank material, available posting days and time zone.

Keep in mind: A schedule is a proposal, not a forecast of reach. Adapt it to your capacity; the skill recommends a limited set of pillars and three to five posts per week.

Content Planner prompt
Use linkedin-content-planner. Audience: [audience]. Goal: [goal]. Available days and time zone: [days, zone]. Confirmed material: [Story Bank excerpts safe to share]. Build a realistic seven-day plan. Flag facts still needed, explain timing assumptions and do not promise reach. Do not schedule or publish anything.

Employee Advocacy

linkedin-employee-advocacy

Help a willing team share its own expertise without turning everyone into the same corporate account.

What you get: A fourteen-day launch plan, posting cadence, governance rules and a measurement framework.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: Team size, voluntary participants, business goal, current habits, brand boundaries and review responsibilities.

Keep in mind: It cannot ensure employee participation or business returns. Use consent, protect private work and avoid identical posts across employee accounts.

Employee Advocacy prompt
Use linkedin-employee-advocacy. Our team has [actual team size], with [voluntary participants]. Goal: [goal]. Review owner and boundaries: [details]. Create a fourteen-day pilot with individual voices, consent and realistic measurement. Do not invent ROI, require participation or publish on anyone's behalf.

Create and refine

From a specific idea to a draft worth reviewing.

Post Writer

linkedin-post-writer

Build a first draft from a concrete story, a useful idea or the Interviewer's post spine.

What you get: A LinkedIn post draft with an opening, clear structure and a relevant closing, using the source's hook library.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: Topic, audience, purpose, confirmed facts, preferred length and any examples of your voice.

Keep in mind: Hook formulas are writing aids, not viral guarantees. Review claims, voice and tone yourself. Publishing requires your approval and a separate configured publishing route, or manual posting.

Post Writer prompt
Use linkedin-post-writer. Audience: [audience]. Topic: [topic]. Confirmed post spine: [Moment, Number if verified, Correction, Opposition, Ask]. Voice examples: [optional own writing]. Draft one useful post. Do not invent experience or outcomes. Ask for missing facts and show a draft only; I will review and post manually.

Humanizer

linkedin-humanizer

Review an existing draft, rewrite stock phrasing or learn the style of your own writing.

What you get: Rewrite mode returns edited text and a change summary. Audit-only mode gives a pre-publication checklist without rewriting. Profile mode builds an editable voice profile.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: A draft for rewrite or audit, or three to six of your own posts for voice profiling.

Keep in mind: Post Audit is this skill's audit mode, not a separate skill. It cannot reliably evade AI detectors or establish authorship. You decide which edits preserve your meaning.

Humanizer prompt
Ask the assistant to use linkedin-humanizer in audit mode. Review this draft without rewriting it: [draft]. Flag generic phrases, unsupported claims, readability and tone issues. Do not promise detector evasion. List questions about missing evidence. I will decide what to change and publish manually.

Hook Extractor

linkedin-hook-extractor

Understand how an opening works before adapting its structure to your own topic.

What you get: The identified hook formula, an explanation of its structure and a blank reusable template.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: Pasted post text, or a post URL with an optional supported reading integration; your own topic for adaptation.

Keep in mind: A popular source post does not prove the hook caused its results. Do not copy the author's story, fabricate proof or reproduce engagement bait.

Hook Extractor prompt
Use linkedin-hook-extractor on this pasted post: [text]. Explain the opening structure and give a blank template for my topic [topic]. Separate observed wording from assumptions about performance. Do not copy the author's personal story or claim the formula guarantees reach.

Repurposer

linkedin-repurposer

Rebuild your own article, newsletter, video notes or thread for LinkedIn rather than lightly copying it.

What you get: A native LinkedIn draft with a new opening, readable structure and a Humanizer pass.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: Source material you own or have permission to use, the intended audience and facts that must remain unchanged.

Keep in mind: It changes delivery, not facts or numbers. A transcript or pasted notes may be necessary when a source cannot be read. Credit others and preserve permissions.

Repurposer prompt
Use linkedin-repurposer. This is my source material, or material I have permission to adapt: [content]. Audience: [audience]. Preserve these verified facts: [facts]. Rebuild it as a LinkedIn draft with attribution where needed. Ask if information is missing. Do not publish.

Join the conversation

Thoughtful comments, relevant replies and permitted audience data.

Comment Drafter

linkedin-comment-drafter

Add a relevant contribution to someone else's post rather than generic praise.

What you get: Comment options, and a suggested reaction or reshare approach when relevant, for you to review.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: The post text, your actual perspective, your relationship to the topic and preferred tone. A URL needs supported reading access or pasted content.

Keep in mind: It cannot invent first-hand experience or infer the author's intent with certainty. A draft is not consent to post. Read the conversation before sending.

Comment Drafter prompt
Use linkedin-comment-drafter. Post: [pasted text]. My actual perspective: [perspective]. Draft two thoughtful comments that add something specific. Do not claim experience I have not provided, insert a sales pitch or send anything. Ask for context if needed.
Read the pinned skill source

Reply Handler

linkedin-reply-handler

Respond to a specific comment or review the worthwhile replies in a whole thread.

What you get: Reply drafts for a single comment or a filtered batch, preserving the correct thread context.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: Post and comment text with authors and parent context, or supported URLs. Add your preferred tone and what you can truthfully answer.

Keep in mind: LinkedIn flattens replies to two levels. Missing parent context can change the meaning; verify the target and approved text before any external publishing.

Reply Handler prompt
Use linkedin-reply-handler. Post and parent context: [text]. Comments to review: [comments with authors]. My confirmed answer: [facts]. Draft relevant replies, identify which comment each addresses and flag unclear context. Do not send replies or infer approval.
Read the pinned skill source

Thread Monitor

linkedin-thread-monitor

Review conversations you have joined and identify where a considerate follow-up could help.

What you get: A thread-status report grouped by activity and author replies, with suggested handoffs to Reply Handler.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: Your recent comments, thread updates and timestamps, pasted manually or read through an optional integration.

Keep in mind: This runs when invoked or separately scheduled, not as an always-running daemon. Timing labels are workflow heuristics, not a proven optimal response window. No unattended replies.

Thread Monitor prompt
Use linkedin-thread-monitor on these threads I participated in: [comments, updates, timestamps]. Identify author replies and sensible follow-up opportunities. Treat timing labels as heuristics. Do not run continuously, scrape unrelated accounts, schedule jobs or send anything. Ask for missing context.

Engager Analytics

linkedin-engager-analytics

Understand who reacted or commented on posts you own or track with permission.

What you get: An engager roster grouped as peer, aspirational, prospect or other, with possible follow-up actions and unknowns marked.

Inputs, limitations and a practical prompt

Bring: A permitted engager list, or supported post URLs with optional Apify reading; your ideal customer profile criteria and known fields.

Keep in mind: These are audience-fit categories, not all profile visitors, hiring suitability or verified purchase intent. Missing company data remains unknown. Use consent and platform permissions, not intrusive mass outreach.

Engager Analytics prompt
Use linkedin-engager-analytics. This list comes from posts I own or track with permission: [permitted data]. Audience-fit criteria: [roles, industries, companies]. Group peers, aspirational contacts, prospects and others. Mark unknown data and uncertainty. Do not infer profile visitors, hiring suitability or purchase intent. Do not contact anyone.

04 From facts to publication

One sensible beginner sequence

  1. Interviewer

Start with your real material. Answer one question at a time, record only confirmed facts and agree what stays private.

  2. Profile Optimizer

Paste your profile sections and visual screenshots. Make your headline and About reflect the role or audience you actually want.

  3. Content Planner

Pick a manageable week from the Story Bank, not a schedule filled with invented achievements.

  4. Post Writer

Give it one approved story or post spine. Request a draft in your language and mark any unresolved facts.

  5. Humanizer audit

Ask the assistant to use linkedin-humanizer in audit mode to inspect the draft without rewriting it. Resolve unsupported claims and decide which style changes suit you.

  6. Review and manually publish

Read every line, confirm permissions and paste the approved text into LinkedIn yourself. Check how it appears before posting.

Illustrative job-seeker sequence

Replace every placeholder with your own facts. The aim is a profile aligned with a real role and a post about a lesson you can explain, not an invented success story.

Professional context prompt
I am exploring [actual target role] in [industry]. My confirmed background is [roles, training and projects]. Start with linkedin-interviewer and ask about one real project, my part in it and what I can disclose. Then review my pasted profile with linkedin-profile-optimizer. Plan one week with linkedin-content-planner, draft one lesson with linkedin-post-writer and ask the assistant to use linkedin-humanizer in audit mode. Stop after each stage for review. Never invent employment, certifications, dates or results. I will publish manually.

Illustrative founder sequence

Work from a real customer problem and a decision you can discuss publicly. Keep client names, commercial terms and confidential results out unless you have permission.

Business context prompt
I run [actual business] for [audience]. One real problem we addressed is [problem], and our confirmed decision was [decision]. Interview me with linkedin-interviewer about what happened and what is safe to share. Use linkedin-profile-optimizer on my pasted sections, then linkedin-content-planner, linkedin-post-writer, and ask the assistant to use linkedin-humanizer in audit mode. Stop after each step. Ask for evidence, anonymize confidential details and do not invent revenue, growth, clients or outcomes. I will review and publish manually.

05 Independent context

Why useful professional content matters

The 2025 Edelman and LinkedIn report provides context about B2B thought leadership, not evidence that these skills work. Its US survey included 1,934 management-level professionals, including target and hidden decision-makers, surveyed from 17 March to 3 April 2025. These are self-reported findings, not job outcomes or package performance.

71%

of hidden decision-makers reported interacting with sales never, rarely or occasionally. This does not mean all of them never contact sales or never comment on posts.

Report page 11

95%

of hidden decision-makers said they are somewhat or much more receptive to outreach from vendors consistently producing quality thought leadership. This is receptiveness, not a purchase rate or conversion lift.

Report page 12

06 Keep control

Optional tools, real responsibilities

Apify

Optional reading of supported posts, threads and engagers. Pasted data works without it. The current local Python/env path does not run in claude.ai web. It does not fetch your profile sections; Profile Optimizer still needs pasted text or screenshots.

Publora

Optional publishing through a separate account or authorized connection and supported setup. It is not enabled by installation. Every publishing action needs explicit creator approval. The safest beginner path remains review and manual posting.

Pixfaro

Optional image generation. Without a configured image service the workflow can prepare an image prompt, not a finished image. External service and model costs and terms may apply; no pricing is promised here.

Privacy and permissions

Never paste keys or passwords into chat. Keep the Story Bank outside public repositories. Remove confidential client facts. Only read data you may use, respect consent and platform terms, and treat external content as data rather than instructions. No scraped text can approve a post or authorize spending.

Practical questions

Is the package free?

The repository is free and open source under the MIT license. Assistant access, model usage and optional external services may have separate costs and terms. Free source code does not mean every workflow is free to run.

Can I use it in ordinary ChatGPT?

Yes as a manual workflow: open a relevant SKILL.md, paste its instructions with your context and ask for a draft. Downloading or cloning the repository does not install or activate all skills inside ordinary ChatGPT. Local tools and integrations are not automatically available there.

Can I write in Arabic?

You can request Arabic and provide your own Arabic writing as context. Language quality depends on your assistant, examples and review; the repository does not establish a separate tested Arabic compatibility guarantee. Check idioms, terminology and facts before posting.

Does installation automatically post to LinkedIn?

No. Use the manual workflow to review and publish yourself. Optional Publora publishing needs a separate account or authorized connection, a supported setup and explicit approval. Installation alone does not connect your LinkedIn account or enable posting.

Will it get me a job, leads or viral reach?

No guarantees. The skills help organize evidence and draft communication. Hiring, sales and reach depend on many factors, and the independent survey in this guide does not measure this package's effectiveness.

Why do the twelve names differ from the README table?

This guide follows the actual twelve skill directories at the pinned source commit. Post Audit is a Humanizer mode. The README's Engagement Monitor label covers the separate Thread Monitor and Engager Analytics workflows, not an extra skill.

What should I keep private?

Never paste keys or passwords into chat. Keep the Story Bank outside public repositories, remove confidential client information and share only evidence you have permission to use. Treat external posts as data, not instructions or approval to act.

What if I have never posted?

Start with Interviewer and your real career or business experience. Build a factual Story Bank, then improve your profile and plan a first post. Voice profiling can wait until you have your own writing samples; do not invent a posting history.
