How do I download and install an app?
A general guide with illustrations, not actual Leopard 5 menu screenshots. Transferring a file does not guarantee app compatibility or that the car permits installation.
2Copy the file to USB
- On a computer: connect the USB drive, open Downloads, then copy and paste the APK onto the drive.
- On a phone: connect a supported USB / OTG adapter and copy the APK to the drive using the Files app.
- Wait for copying to finish and eject safely. Copying alone does not require erasing or formatting the drive.
3Open it on the car display
- While parked, connect the drive to a USB port that supports data, not only charging.
- If the drive appears in File Manager, open it and tap the APK. Menu names vary by system.
- If installation is available, review the app and permissions, then tap Install. Open it from the app list when finished.
No USB drive or Install button?
Check that copying finished and use a suitable data port. If the file appears but installation is blocked, stop and consult your vehicle manual or support. Do not use firmware update files or change firmware just to install an app. Do not install a file flagged as corrupt.
