Skills, not an app
Each command is a Claude skill: a written set of instructions with its own rules, plus a few local scripts. No dashboard and no account to create.
Creator toolkit
Thirteen open-source Claude skills that help you write Reels, captions, carousels, stories and replies in your own voice. They prepare the content. You review it and post it yourself.
Open-source project by Jake Schincariol. I am sharing how I use it, not selling it.
Playing loads Instagram’s embedded player.
Watch on InstagramThe video is in Arabic. If the player doesn’t load, open it directly on Instagram.
Each command is a Claude skill: a written set of instructions with its own rules, plus a few local scripts. No dashboard and no account to create.
Nothing is published automatically. Every Reel script, caption or reply is a draft waiting for your approval.
Every skill reads one editable file, voice.md, so the output sounds like you rather than a template.
Copy the two lines below exactly and send them to Claude. It installs the skills and checks that /ig-reel responds.
Send Claude three of your own Reels and say: write my voice.md from these. You can also fill in templates/voice.md by hand. Share examples of your content only, never your Instagram login.
Start with /ig-reel and one idea. Read the three hooks, pick one, then film. Edit anything that does not sound like you.

From the official README. Clone the repo and copy the skills globally, or install it as a plugin. To keep it inside one project, copy the same folders into your repo's .claude/skills/ instead.

Claude chat and Claude Code do not behave the same. A single SKILL.md pasted into a chat runs as a mode, but the five local Python tools only run with Claude Code. Check what your own setup supports before relying on a command.
Turns one idea into a Reel: three hooks from 26 formulas, scored, then the script, on-screen text and a timed beat sheet.
Finds what is working in your niche, ranks it against each account's own median, names the formula and writes a swipe file.
Writes and checks the caption, and shows the roughly 125 characters the feed displays before the tap.
Swipe posts: the cover that earns the swipe, slide copy and 1080x1350 files.
The daily story sequence, which sticker does which job, and a DM flow that starts with the viewer moving first.
Scores your profile out of 100 against a 12-part rubric, then rewrites it in fix-first order.
Plans the week: what to post, which format, when, and 10 accounts to engage with.
The Humanizer. Cleans stock phrases, typography tells and invisible characters, then scores the draft on five checks.
Comments on other people's posts. Nine types, chosen by what the post actually is.
Handles the thread under your own post: sorts comments by intent, then drafts replies in that order.
The keyword delivery, first message, collab pitch and two follow ups.
Turns one video, podcast or newsletter into a week of standalone Reels and carousels.
A post mortem on what you already posted, ranked by outlier multiple and sends per reach rather than views.
/ig-reel drafts three openings from 26 formulas and scores them before you film. It is a way to test hooks, not a promise of reach.
/ig-profile scores your profile against a 12-part rubric out of 100 and rewrites what lost points, most important first.
/ig-human removes stock phrases, typography tells and invisible characters, flags sentence patterns for you to rewrite, then scores the draft on five checks.
One file holds how you speak. Every skill reads it, so updating it once improves everything that follows.
Yes. The project is open source under the MIT license. The README says there is no signup, no API key and nothing to connect for the skills themselves. You still need access to Claude to run them.
No. The skills write drafts. Nothing gets posted until you approve it, and you publish it yourself in Instagram.
Paste the GitHub link into Claude followed by the line: Install this skill, then confirm /ig-reel works. In Claude Code you can also clone the repo and copy the skills folders, or install it as a plugin.
Partly. The README says a single SKILL.md pasted into a chat runs as a mode, but you lose the five local Python tools that power most of /ig-reel and /ig-human. Claude Code gives the full setup. Check what your own Claude plan and app support.
It helps Claude write your voice.md, the file every skill reads to match how you speak. You share your own Reels as examples. You never share your Instagram password or login.
No tool can promise that. The hooks are formulas and a scoring aid that help you test openings before filming. Results still depend on the idea, delivery and audience.
